A Word of Thanks

From our Motiv8ing Ideas Archive

"If the only prayer you say in your life is 'Thank You',
that would suffice."
Meister Eckhart

"Gratitude is the heart's money."
French proverb

A "Thank you" expresses that we value what someone has done or provided for us. The positive impact that "Thank you" has on someone can reverberate long past the act of thanking.

"Silent gratitude isn't much use to anyone."
Gladys Berthe Stern

This month, let's be really conscious of expressing thanks to people...at home, at work, on the road, in the supermarket, in our community...

Thanks is most effective when it occurs close to the event that warrants our gratitude. However, perhaps by just focusing on this subject, we're reminded of past events and acts that went un-thanked.

It's never too late to say "Thank you".

"Nine-tenths of wisdom is appreciation. Go find somebody's hand and squeeze it, while there's time."
(Dale Dauten)
